Interview Preparation for kids (5th-8th grade)
$295.00 per child
four hours of instruction total

Interviewing can be a stressful experience for anyone, especially children. This workshop prepares students with the knowledge,  experience (during role play), and confidence to interview effectively in both group and one-on-one interviews.  We do not prepare children with canned responses, we simply help them verbalize their strengths and interests.  Please be advised that we require 72 hours notice for cancellations.

Topics include:

  • Preparation-how to effectively get ready for an interview-knowledge is empowering
  • How to manage nervousness and anxiety during and in advance of the interview
  • Identifying how we each want to come across during an interview and being sure we come across that way
  • First impressions-body language, eye contact, facial gestures, shaking hands properly 
  • Introductions and small talk
  • Grooming- appropriate attire and more
  • Conversational skills- responding to questions effectively and asking appropriate questions
  • Talking points- identifying interests/ passions to talk about
  • Coming across as genuine and interested/active listening skills
  • Responding to difficult questions 
  • Group interviews versus one-on-one
  • Closing an interview
